- Make sure you have an Account in Monarch for your cash.
- Go to the Accounts page
- Click Add Account
- Choose "Add assets such as property, vehicles, and crypto"
- Choose Cash
- Give your account a name such as "Sue's Wallet"
- Set the type to Cash Management
- Enter how much money you started the month with
- Go to the Transactions page
- Click on Add Transaction
- Select debit if you spent cash or credit if you received cash
- Enter the remaining details (you can create your own Merchant name - this is where the money came from or who you paid it to)
- Make sure to select your cash account for the Account option
- Leave the box at the bottom checked so that it will adjust your account balance when you enter the transaction.
